Access to County Fleet Managers “group email” list to use as a resource for immediate, expert, and experienced answers to your questions, concerns and need for comparative data. When your boss wants to know what other counties are doing, you’re just a few clicks of the mouse away from having all the answers!

Benchmarking
 
Find organizations that are similar in size, population, vehicles, etc. that can be compared to your operation – are you doing well, or do you need to improve and then how are you going to accomplish the improvement?

Buzz words – you’ll get them from other counties that are also sharing them at the CAO levels – you won’t have to educate your bosses every time. In many cases, they will already have heard about your initiatives before from their peers.

Assistance with developing benchmarking objectives from seasoned veterans of fleet management with many different perspectives and varied experiences – What do I need to measure? How do I measure it?

Meetings

Meetings are generally held quarterly and typically in conjunction with another “fleet” type event to maximize your travel dollars and time. You will hear top county fleet managers discuss current issues, opportunities and strategic directions. Guest speakers and/or presenters will demonstrate new products, ideas and equipment. You’ll have the opportunity to see other county facilities, tour their shops and offices, and get ideas for your own organization. You’ll also be able to ask questions and get details that will help you develop your own plans or directions and perhaps obtain the information that will prevent you from “reinventing the wheel” at every turn.

Cost

Membership is only $100 per year for the first member, $50 for additional members!
